EDI Group in Action

For the decision-maker who wants to effect meaningful change, the connection between good strategic decision-making and success has never before been so clear. Unfortunately, it is becoming ever more difficult to calculate the expected effects of any action, as increasing interconnectedness multiplies the number, scale and speed of second, third, and fourth order effects.

Delivering Results

As senior decision-makers enter a disconcerting period of technological innovation, EDI Associates have been in demand in various arenas.

— EDI Associate was requested by a U.S. cabinet officer to design, coordinate and implement a Southeast Europe multiethnic regional program that would provide a neutral basis for interaction and cooperation among Balkan ethnic minorities. After negotiating with three governments, acceptance was obtained, Western European funding was accessed, and local NGOs staffing was identified to relieve the USG of responsibility.

— EDI Advisor and Associate continues to be requested to teach leadership, change management, and the human requirements for successful mergers. The work includes American and foreign universities, corporations, and foreign governments. His successful engagements have ranged from United Airlines to the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education to the Government of Macedonia.

— EDI Associate and seasoned NATO and national security expert advised the Alliance on deployment of anti-missile defense systems during a critical decision-making time. The processes used helped stabilize security and international concerns.

— EDI Advisor and Associate, an accomplished senior international banker and financier, worked with the leadership of top global and U.S. Fortune 100 companies positioning the firms for steady growth and increased long-term profits.

— EDI Associate, in the midst of violent political fighting, applied his know-how in Bangladesh to work with government ministers and senior business executives to restructure their operations, initiate common dialogue, and develop useful international commercial links leading to more effective use of resources and oversight.

— EDI Associate works with the Afghan Ministry of Agriculture’s leadership to decentralize decision-making processes.

— EDI Associate served as a policy advisor to U.S. sub-cabinet officials chaired a US inter-agency group analyzing and monitoring the multi-billion dollar defense trade markets.

— EDI Associate, an experienced U.N. senior peacekeeping official, worked with international law enforcement to organize and manage operations in regionally unstable environments.

— EDI Associate and former senior police officer with a specialty in organized crime trafficking in human beings recently advised the U.S. Government on activities along its Southern border.

— EDI Advisor and Associate worked with major energy companies having difficulties after Hurricane Katrina. By successfully negotiating settlements, structuring payments (voluntary and mandated) and maintaining professional relationships with state governments, he ensured the firms and local communities emerged financially sound to continue operating and employing.

What Our Customers Say…

  • The EDI Advisory Group helped us with our acquisition of four TV stations and the divestiture of nine radio stations and four TV stations across the United States.  The value of the program was approximately $500 million.  The process was superbly guided by a KEE team, working with multiple operational levels.

    EDI Advisory Group Customer
  • In the era of uncertainty and volatility we face domestically and around the globe, The EDI Advisory Group stands out as a clear-eyed strategist.  As an international strategy advisory, Reid leads a select group that serves companies, governments and international organizations around the world.

    Tom Thomson
    CEO, Tom Thomson & Associates
  • I strongly recommend Reid and The EDI Advisory Group to anyone in need of expertise and assistance with complex initiatives.  They have a unique ability to balance internal and external agendas.

    Robert Stapp
    Organizational & Leadership Development Specialist
  • Reid has demonstrated (and in fact routinely practices) exceptional diplomatic and leadership skills, especially working in complex environments. Our team is truly fortunate to have the leadership of Mr. Reid Lohr, and I take this opportunity to say so.

    Andrew Krefft
Director of Finance and Administration, USWDP
  • I have found working with The EDI Advisory Group and Reid Lohr is nothing short of superb.  Reid’s ability to galvanize the team to produce the best possible and long-lasting results is unmatched.  I have found EDI to be extremely responsible with the tasks at hand, and prudent and coolheaded in decision making and operating style.

    Julian Simidjiyski
Attorney and International Supply Chain Consultant
  • I knew of Reid’s excellent reputation at JFCOM, but did not have the pleasure of working together until my time at Deloitte and UNYSIS. The engagements involved highly sensitive initiatives in which I found him and his EDI Advisory Group colleagues to be out-of-the box thinkers who understand the dynamics of strategic decision-making and tactical implementation.
